Match scheduled: 28-08-2010 from 23:00 until 00:30
Day 3 :: PGA Tour 2010 - The Barclays - Ridgewood Country Club Paramus, New Jersey, USA
The worlds number 1 golfer has been clinging on to his ranking despite his poor play this year but looks to have turned it around at least for now. He opened on Thursday at The Barclays with a 65 with under to score his lowest all year. He is currently tied with Vaughn Taylor.
“It’s exciting to hit the ball flush again,” Woods said. “It’s something I’ve been missing all year.”
His play has suffered immensely culminating in one of his worst performances at the Firestone Country Club for the Bridgestone Invitational.
“I can’t really say that’s the case,” he said. “As far as golf, it was nice to put it together.”
It can only be good for the sport to have Woods playing like the Tiger of old and he may be trying to make the cut for the US Ryder Cup team. It is still very early to speculate if Tiger is indeed back but for now it is great to see him bounce back even for just one round.
